It is sad to say, but the main cause of delays associated with a vehicle theft claim (and occasionally RTC, road traffic collision, matters) is the provision of a police report.

At a time when more vehicles are being stolen, fewer are recovered and of those found, many are in pieces, the demand upon insurers and constabularies is increasing. It appears odd a constabulary that has not reunited a victim/insured with their vehicle in an ‘as was’ (at the date of theft) condition, would not do all they could to assist those who can help end the distress, inconvenience and final hardship often accompanying the crime.
But for now, it may be beneficial for victims/insureds to adopt the process we convey at ‘HELP‘.
